You have the off-topic area to post that. That is where people post similar things. "I am livestreaming," or "Playing this and wanna play that" "Looking to people to play this".
Everything you suggest the forums already cover.

Yes, a "blog" forum area could be used in a general way that the GM's do... a place to express feelings on whatever matter is at mind, but always we must keep it in a respective manner.
When I did a "Blog", (or my post I called a blog, really we're splitting hairs here at this point. Forum, blog, what-have-you) it was mostly related to games I was playing/LPing, or my thoughts on them. I also tried to review some lesser known games so that I could hopefully get that game a bit of an audience here. Blogs again don't mean "I share my edgy outlook on topic X."
Isn't that what the forums are for?
That's why I say we are splitting hairs. Yep, you're right, they are. BUT, when you want to categorize it as a "Blog", where do you put it other than flooding a forum? Is the issue you have with people -calling- it a blog, or what?

No, I just don't see it having any potential benefit to this community seeing as it serves the same purpose the forum does, from what you're describing to me.

And I can say the same thing about the GM blogs, now can't I? Literally everything that they're used for could be put elsewhere. And yet, I see a lot of the people against player blogs supporting GM blogs like it's nobody's business.
Can't have it both ways, guys.
I, however, support the idea of player blogs. :|

I don't see any negatives, and I do see a difference. I guess it's hard to explain, but I think there's quite a few people who are understanding where we are coming from when we say "Blog". Because in that case it's less of a discussion area, and more an individual creating something to share with others.
Might even be a cool idea to make those topics something only the person who made it can post in.

No real need to get offended. :\ I have -no- clue why you are taking this so personally.

It's hard to tell, man. The picture suggested it somewhat, as well as the terse response.

NO ONE'S ACTUALLY OFFENDED, BUT WE'RE GETTING OFFENDED AT PERCEIVED OFFENSE WHICH TURNS IT REAL FOR SOME.
SELF-FULFILLED PROPHECY.
I THINK.

What have you done to my beautiful thread?
... Seriously though, as much as I like farming forum gold off of your replies and views, please try to keep unrelated commentary to a minimum. Stating your opinion is fine, and so is a little bit of discussion, but only as long as it doesn't grow into the kind of repetitive back and forth we had this morning.

Nice idea, however; player blogs (if you really wanted them) can go in the off-topic portion of the forums and possibly in the Oleandrum Exhibition of Fine Arts since it is related to writing. There doesn't need to be a separate section for them. If Kretol/Grakor wish to make a sub-forum for it WITHIN the Off-Topic portion, that might be a thing.
