I didn't mean a neutral faction as in a new faction, but rather that they, as some people suggested earlier in the thread, are able to choose which of the two factions, Horde or Alliance, they'd want to join. Maybe through a questchain in their starting area or by starting at neutral with both to begin with and then grinding by doing quests for them, from the very first Horde/Ally quest done they'd be unfriendly with the opposing faction and unable to regain that rep (to prevent people from switching without using Blizzard's service for the purpose, obviously they want to keep as much money rolling in as possible).
As I can remember Death knights caused quite a bit of ruckus but people came to accept them, this is why I think Worgen could find themselves in Alliance or horde.
I think the only reason people came to accept the Death Knights was this:

They can do anything and everything by themselves. Trust me, my level 66 Gnome Death Knight can solo every single elite up to level 70 in Outland on retail.

If they make the Worgen as powerful/give them something wicked, many people will come to accept them too.
I soloed the giant crystal boss that appears in the end of Hellfire Penninsula at level 63 or whatever it was, I had to use a potion but that thing was elite and had like 3 adds that spawned as you got it to 75%, 50% 25% and 0%, it was very hard. Yet I killed it XD As frost spec

That was before the DK nerf XD
I'm pretty sure lore wise, Worgens could be nearly as strong as Death Knights.
Worgen aren't a class though, they're a race.

Unless Blizzard makes it so you can only be one class as Worgen, I can't see how Blizzard buffing them up above other races being accepted.
Well you guys seem to be going iwht how good the deathknights are in the game, but I beleive the thing to be about, the roleplay rather than how good a deathknight is, I mean they are in the horde and alliance, bu very loosely more so assoviated with the ebon blade (Lore Wise) than anything else, I beleive worgen could be the same way (Lore wise) just have a ruling faction, suhc as horde or Alliance.
Err, there's a hint in 3.2.2 that highborne might become the new alliance race.

It might mean nothing, but still.
Nah, that's for them to add Night Elf mages and Tauren paladins and other lorebreaking race/class combinations. Just look at the expansion speculation topic for info on that. I mean seriously, HIGHBORNE DO NOT EXIST ANYMORE THEY ALL BECAME HIGH ELVES!
Highborne have actually been there. Check Dire Maul. Shen'dralar, yo.
Yes, the Dire Maul is abundant with the Highborne.

I was there just two days ago raiding actually..
Goblins and Worgen. Flying in a revamped Azeroth. The new classes.
Archeology is a new secondary profession. Deathwing's return.

CONFIRMED.
