Heh, not meant for me seeing I can't use it in windowed mode. I'm addicted to windowed mode seeing I can switch between my 2 screens easily then without my game minimizing. In windowed mode I can keep my game screen open, browse the internet on my other screen, take notes, find radio's etc etc without missing a thing in the story. Shame it only works in full screen.
Edit: After some heavy tinkering, I've decided to just drop my desktop gamma to around the same level of the guide. Think it's slightly higher, but still got to be able to use it for other things. This worked fine ;>

What is the use of turning the Shadow Quality all the way down?
It's rather nice for though!

The whole perpose of turning the shadow quality is really just for framerates for those with lower-end computers. With the gamma all the way down, shadows happen to look more defined. My main concern is realistic visibility. Also, if anyone can help me decide on a method for correcting the vision of certain races that have better vision than others ((Example, the Orcs of Orgrimmar, who spend most of the day in a bright environment, won't be able to see as well in the dark as the nocturnally active Night Elf.)), please PM me or leave a comment that we can work off of.

I like playing with my gamma way down, but last night I noticed that the sky over Tanaris looked completely black when server time was 3PM... have I just never noticed this before, or is the gamma causing a blue sky to look black? I tried turning it up to see if it changed, but it just got kind of gray. I seem to remember the sky being blue....
Then again, maybe I'm delusional.

Well, it could have been a storm overhead....I mean, I don't remember the last time I saw it rain in Tanaris, but even still....Anyways, a small set back is that all storm clouds will be very dark, and because the lighting is lowered for storms, all rainstorms cause a dark atmosphere. I personally like it. Continue commenting

Oh, I do like the fact that it actually looks dark and stormy when it's raining. I just took it for an approaching sandstorm and RP'ed accordingly.
I like gamma down, view distance up. And ground clutter up, if my computer can handle it.

Very good. My in-game characters are Irhuza and Esamoria, if the question arises. If you want to aske something in-game, go for it.

I really liked the result, but it's way too laggy. I think it's the shadow to max causing it, but not quite sure...

Yeah the shadows will do that, if you can't run them just turn them down and leave the rest and it should work loads better.

Remember, I said shadows down.
