Just something I've noticed.

Most people tend to RP like they know the barkeeper. For example, when they order a drink, they say "the usual" or "same as ever" or something in that fashion.

Personally, I disagree with the idea to have the barkeep know of the character's drinking habits, since there are too many characters that do this. If you put yourself in the barkeep's position, do you actually think that you'd remember what drinks people use to order? Unless they are regulars, of course. But I just don't think all of these characters that say this are there that frequently, even ICly.

Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Heh, this was something that bugged me before server restart, as well. I'd play Rensin as an avid drinker at the Drudaen and the Tavern in Ratchet, so I'd say the "regular" with him. (Especially since he worked at the Drudaen for a long time.) I noticed that there were quite a few people that would pretty much do the same thing as well, which irritated me slightly, because honestly... it'd take something from the character I had that could do that.

Cheers does not exist in WoW. Not everyone knows your name.
If the character drinks there every day or quite often, I can see that being valid. What gets to me is when like, a bunch of people try to metagame the barkeep. They end up with multiple personalities.
If I ever find myself emoting for the barkeeper, it's in extremes (Someone pulls a rifle out, or jumps on a table.) And all I ever do is make them look at the person.

With plenty of subtle hinting to law enforcement *Snicker*.
I usually just say on Kinyar "I'll take a pint barkeep." and then I walk to a table.

I don't like to get personal with NPC's.
I'd be willing to expend a character slot to make a PC bartender, though. For Stormwind, we could probably use one of the empty bars around in the Park.
