The Objective
Champion Krian Duskbinder Wrote:Blood Knights,
The Lordaeron Blood Knight Regiment and all its auxiliaries will depart on the 8th of June from Silvermoon City to Undercity via portal. From there, we will ride from the city to the camp near Andorhal and settle in. Our mounts will be brought to Undercity the day before we move out. You are free to bring along anything you can store within the travel pack you will be provided, but I recommend only taking the basics. We're going to be here for a while and you never know when our supply lines will be cut.
The Forsaken are in the process of constructing the forward command camp with leftover supplies, so I wouldn't expect the best of living conditions. Alliance activity is picking up from the latest scouting reports, so be ready for any sort of ambush or attack. Once we get to the camp, we'll set up a perimeter and get a lay of the land. After we figure out the enemy positions and their threat, we'll begin tackling this campaign one step at a time.
Stay sharp and stay alive.
OOC
Moving In event will take place on June 15th(that's Saturday) at 1:30pm server time. Anyone who wants to be affiliated with the Blood Knights in the Western Plaguelands are welcome to attend. Duration will be around 1-2 hours, depending on the players.
The event will have combat in it, so I'll explain how the threshold system will work.
Threshold System
Spoiler:
When prompted by the DM, players will roll 100 to see what number they get. The DM will have a threshold number that the players will have to be equal to or exceed in order for their action to be successful. If they roll below the number, their action will not be successful.
Example Defense: A group of ghouls appear and attack <Character 1, 2, and 3>! Roll above 30 to defend yourself!
Outcome 1: Player rolls above or equal to 30, and they receive no damage.
Outcome 2: Player rolls below 30, and receive damage based off the DM's reply.
Afterward, players are free to emote their character's actions in regards to their outcome.
Example Attack: The Blood Knights react to the ghoul ambush, roll above 30 to hit!
Outcome 1: Player rolls above or equal to 30, and they deal damage or heal successfully.
Outcome 2: Player rolls below 30, and their action fails to do anything.
After rolling, players are free to emote their character's actions in regards to their outcome.

Character Mechanics
Spoiler:
Blood Knight player's hit points start off at ten. When your HP is depleted to zero, your character is knocked out or otherwise disabled for the duration of the combat phase. The DM will only announce that you receive damage from a source, so it is up to you to describe your character's injures. After combat is over, other players with healing capabilities can successfully restore half of the KO character's HP and will have their maximum HP set to five, as well as suffer a minus twenty modifier to any rolls. This is to simulate a wounded character's ineffectiveness when taking grave damage, and will hopefully encourage your fellow Knights to look out for each other. ^_^
There will be no counters(attacking after a critical defense), but there will be a critical strike. Critical Strikes are achieved by rolling 90 or above for an offensive turn, doubling the effects of the action. If you strike an Alliance soldier, they take twice as much damage. If you heal a wounded Knight, they gain twice the amount of HP.
War is what Blood Knights do best. Any attack the Blood Knights land on an enemy will knock off one HP in damage or two if they acquire a critical strike. However, being the light wielding shock troopers that they are, they deal double damage to any undead foes that they might encounter. An attack can be as simple as a sword thrust or smiting someone with a bolt of light, the possibilities are limitless. One thing to keep in mind, you can only strike one enemy per turn. You cannot do Area of Effect damage to multiple targets. While you can emote that your character sends out a blast of Light, only one enemy can be effected by it.
Blood Knights can use the Light to restore the wounds of their comrades. However, since they are not specialized in such restoration, they can only heal one HP per successful heal, or two HP per critical heal. If someone is taking severe amounts of damage, this can be used to patch them up to keep them up for the duration of the battle. There are no AoE heals at this time.

Point System & Perks
Spoiler:
Coming soon!
This is a system that will reward players for attending events. For attending a major event, players will receive one point that can be used to purchase perks that can enhance their character in combat. Such perks will allow you to have more health, do more damage, or be more effective in healing. Points can be gained within the event based off player's actions, such as completing optional objectives or taking down a boss while not entering the KO state. This system is a work in progress.
