Conquest of the Horde

I'm looking for a hired hand in an assassination attempt on a character of mine. Now, I'm trying to avoid character death, and that goes both ways. I've never been a fan of rendering someone (Mine or yours) unplayable, but story purposes are requiring me to have someone try to get someone killed.

Why am I being vague? Story purposes! Actually I don't know.

The person I'm trying to have someone try to kill is Velial. The attempt is going to happen regardless, but it would be much more interesting to involve a PC rather than an NPC.

I might have a group that could attempt an assassination that'd help fuel a bit of a story line I'm working on. Though if you prefer a PC, I understand! But if there's no other option, I'm here.
