Two letters return in response to Annabelle's letter to Hearthglen.
Argent Missive Wrote:Councilwoman Greene,
It is a great relief to hear of your impending return. I have already heard word involving your abductors, and we have continued to detain Herzog in the prison until further trial and testimony may be brought forth. As well I have received some information regarding the others you have sent along to the city—they will be well guarded here, and we will provide them with amnesty for any allegations levied against them elsewhere.
I would advise you to sit this coming meeting of the council out—given the circumstances I do believe you are well enough excused of your duties until you have had time to rest from your ordeals. Your words against Herzog would be most valued though, as would any word concerning this organization she is under the service of.
You will also be pleased to know that your journey will be markedly safer, coming into town. We have successfully dispatched two of the Scourge’s commanders, so do not worry on our part concerning your absence. There is indeed an ongoing issue concerning a collection of cultists which have since been imprisoned and sent to trial—but as of late things seem to be gradually settling down.
A pleasure to have you back, at any rate. We look forward to your return.
~Crusade Commander Entari
--Hearthglen High Command
Another letter is tied along to the stately Argent missive-- it seems to be a page torn from a hymnal, with small, quickly jotted text in black ink upon it.
A Plain Letter Wrote:Ms. Greene,
First of all, my greatest apologies for the interception of your letter. I do wish you to know that I mean no ill intent; in fact I am quite relieved to hear of your impending return. I only wish to caution you—Things are not as calm as they may seem in the city of Hearthglen.
I have attempted to the best of my efforts to dissuade the other members of the council from convening this Monday. Why, I cannot say. All shall know in time. I would like to ask of you that, should you arrive before the meeting, you gather the council and any other civilians you may find and move them to the tavern. Keep them there, and prepare yourselves. This is all I can tell you; though with the Light’s providence, perhaps it is all you will need. Please, heed this warning.
I wish you and the others the best. Remain vigilant, and speak nothing of this letter. Time is short or I would write more. Fate is uncertain, or I would scribe my name below. Until then, simply know me as what I have come to consider you--
~A Friend
The letter is crudely written, with the lettering starting off neat, but towards the middle begins to devolve into furious, frustrated strokes.
A Fly Wrote:Ta the Peehen.
I have managed ta kil the nome, Martee Seeskolar. With the help of Fly Milo. We were havin a shootin contest. Milo put on her gloves and tried ta kil Martee. Martee started runnin. I shot him. We interogayted Martee. We lurned that Dr. Galleani has the skematiks. Milo kiled him. We made it look like a sayter got hold of Martee by havin my bear, Neydra, maul him. I piked up the nome and we ran to Dalaran. We went to Morfa, the nome's brother he was visiting. Morfa took Martee to an Alliance temple.
Also, the Coyote was set on trial. She pleeded No Contest to charges of unawthurized espeeonaj. The Argents are pending a verdikt on affilyashuns with a crime orgunizashun.
A Fly
The writing in this letter seems hurried, as if the writer was relieved to be required to write so little.
A Fly Wrote:Ta the Peehen,
Tooday I was givin a ded drop from another Red Gluv. Thees letters were inside the bak of it. They were all seeled with this simbull.

The Goat Wrote:Hearthglen Report 1 of 2
Outside of the Town Hall (overheard) a Man clad in purple armor, likely some Light-affiliation, spoke of formally requesting the Hearthglen Council that the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow be denied access to establish a church in Hearthglen. Despite this, the measure, the main focus of the meeting, passed. The man enjoys Bacon.
Furthermore, the man has collateral. His mother resides in an unspecified "Mage Tower". The man was also accompanied by an unknown Forsaken female that bore "important information" for the man's collateral. The woman was dressed in black robes with blue trimming. Her hair is short and black. Her mouth was covered by a black mask. No other distinguishing features.
His open, public discussion regarding the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow drew initial interest for further investigation.
The man's name, age, and occupation remain unknown. He is a white male with long, black hair drawn back in a ponytail. Man was also seen speaking to a Blood Elf Female near the location of the recent assassination attempt on Councilwoman Annabella Greene. Long, white hair. Pale skin, clad in black and green robes. Wore a black mask covering her mouth. Their discussion regarded the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow.
The Violet Man confirmed that Councilwoman Annabella Greene voted in favor of the measure to allow the Cult of the Forgotten Shadow into Hearthglen.
Update: Following the capture of Annabella Greene's foiled "assassin(s)", she referred to the man as "Clovis".
The Goat Wrote:Hearthglen Report 2 of 2
An unknown person made an assassination attempt on Lamb of Note, Hearthglen Politican Annabella Greene. Several Forsaken and Argent Guards were seen running into the mine behind the Councilwoman's house.
The Councilwoman appears unharmed.
There is some information that suggests there may be more than one assassin involved. One assassin has been confirmed as a woman by "The Violet Man".
Update: One assassin, a woman, was a Blood Elf dressed in black, hooded. She has is confirmed to be in Argent Custody. Noted as shouting, "Perhaps it never occured to you that Annabella Greene's death is for a purpose?"
Annabella Greene confirmed two pursuers of the assassin(s) as Sir Richter and Ordin (a forsaken male) as having charged into the mine after the town guard.
Blood Elf female assassin also remarked:
"Have you never heard of Sangreala Semurian, Crusaders?"
"What if I were to claim Annabella Greene were behind one of the greatest evils to every plague the land?"
From, A Fly
Barregis Jones smiles as he folds up his letter and slides it into an envelope.
"Argel!" He cried out, and looked around his office in Stormwind. A man in a rather well-kept suit and a balding white head entered and bowed to Jones.
"You called, sir?" Argel said with a simple tone.
"Make sure this letter gets to the Tamer. It's time we move our plans into action." Jones said, sliding the closed envelope towards his servant. "If you get captured, you know what to do, Argel... Please don't get captured..." He frowned for a moment, then smirked. "I'd hate to have to hire another servant in the last three months." Jones said in a joking tone.
Argel smirked along with him, and bowed. "I will make sure it gets to the Red Glove, sir." He reached forward and grabbed the envelope, and slid it into his suit. "Will that be all, sir?"
Jones leaned forward and supported his head on the table by his palms. "Yes, that will be all, Argel... Good luck."
"Of course, sir." Argel said before departing.
Jones closed his eyes, sighing. "So this is how you redeem yourself, Barregis Jones? After all those kills, all those innocent men and women... All those contracts throughout your life, and you're using a war of subtlety for your redemption..." Jones lowered his head, and pounded a fist against his desk. "Let's hope I'm right in guessing the Argents won't hunt me down for my help. Light be with Jones and his men, I guess."
Quote:To Whom It May Concern,
Whether this be the Tamer, or some fancy subordinate made to check his - or her - letters, I'd like you to know that the Red Glove has a new problem. The man holding this letter is of no interest to me, and he saw nothing to dictate him as part of my chain of information, so I'd advise you to not hurt him unless you want me to plan for shooting three bullets in your head instead of two.
All that you'll know is that my name is Bane. I can realize you see this as a disguise name, as professional assassin to professional assassin. I call myself Bane in this struggle because that is what I am - I am your Bane. I -will- take you and the Glove down, and I will see each and every one of you burn for your crimes, some day. Whether that day be in a week, in a month, or hell, in a decade.
I am no righteous paladin. Hell, I'm not even a light-friendly man. But I am something that we both can relate to. I am an assassin, trained to be a killer, and I swear to you, I will become a very, very large pain in your ass someday. You and your Glove have caused enough problems for my people, and the rest of the world. Hell, you give assassins an even worse name than we already have.
I hope you enjoy your life now knowing that you actually have a competent enemy. Good day, then.
From assassin to assassin, I say 'good luck surviving'.
Sincerely,
Bane
Edit: TONED THAT THING DOWN.
The Coyote Wrote:This is the Coyote.
Some days ago, a frost wyrm came to attack the city, and it was overrun by the cultists I had the delight to share cells with. I was able to escape, but I remained on the downlow until things have settled. I've travelled a long way, on foot, to Hillsbrad, thus my long time to mail back.
I am exhausted. I request a mage to pick me up in Southshore, where I am hiding.
After a long talk between Dino and Arnaldo meeting in Hearthglen, a letter is passed onto the Toad to be given to the Glove...
Anonymous Wrote:To Rosaline Crotti,
There is someone of great interest I think you'd like to meet. I do not know if she has mail available to her, but you can send one of your scouts to contact with her. She goes under the alias of simply 'S'.
Send a scout to Caer Darrow, and from there he or she will be redirected to S.
The Tamer Wrote:To the Red Glove,
I have been sent two letters with aims to threaten me. To threaten us.
Let it be known that I will not let them near us. We must take the initiative.
I want the Wolverine dead or alive.
Seek out information on this Bane and see if he can be captured.
Begin transferring our new slaves to the Un'goro Base. I want testing to be done soon.
The Mongoose Wrote:To the Red Glove,
We must start lowering our number of enemies before they begin increasing in number. We just visited The Bear in Stormwind. He is recovering now, and he has set up wanted posters on Dr. Henri. However, we still have others to take down.
There is Annabelle Greene. We suspect she is rallying support in bringing forth our fall. Let's see if we can get her ruined if not killed or recaptured.
Meanwhile, we need more laborers to help us with the Un'goro project. All Rat, Fly, and Spider Leaders of the Stranglethorn region gather your subordinates and meet us and the Peacock and Peahen West of Stranglethorn. Provided is a map of our meeting point.
We will discuss our next plans in person.

The Lambs of Stranglethorn takes place.))
