Conquest of the Horde

As I see that quite a lot of players are interested in now RPing gangs in Stormwinds, I've thought that it might be the opportunity to make the "Guards faction" running again.

For several reasons, I believe that we really need such a faction :
-Make this cop/robber RP happen.
-Create more activity in the capitals and towns.
-Bring a "police system" in the server in which criminals might be searched if needed (could imagine a spy or such?) and simple laws being applicated without having to use the mighty NPCs to do so.

Now, I know that this mean that the whole staff will have an hard time taking care of it and that somebody will have to handle guards applications or such, but I feel like this might be interesting, and I'm clearly interested in playing as a guard as I used to do on my past servers.

I believe Grakor (through Gunnar) was running the Stormwind Guard guild... but now, well, no more Gunnar. It would be nice to see the guild back up, though... but I wouldn't know who would be running it.

Also, aren't Guards allowed, as long as their specials?

I was under the impression that you could make a Special Profile for a guard character, as Squirrel said.

With the "guard guild" gone for now, I don't think it is currently possible for guard characters to be made by players, even through special profiles.

If a GM wishes to bring that back up for respective cities then I imagine it would be fine enough. I think I actually have the City Guard guild tag, so I may log in and disband it for more productive use.

... I'd just make a guild and call it 'The Law', because 'City Guard' is sometimes too limiting. >.>

"The Law" has more of a punch to it, anyway.

... Regardless, I'd get the guild up and kickin' if you want, Rigley.

If you prefer that then feel free; Just make sure it works for every city, so on, so forth.

See, I can't help but think that, with Xigo at the reins. We'll hear alot more of "Hold it right there criminal scum!" "Stop, you've violated the law! You must pay the court a fine or go to prison!"

Actually I once had 'Stop right there criminal scum!' as a macro on Trium when I first made him.

Granted, that was mostly when he was bumbling around as a backdrop NPC guard. But still!

Right. I'll get around to making a guild post explaining guidelines and policies for guards. (It'll be discussed prior to being posted in the public eye, no worries.)
