Short version: I'll be gone for a little longer than 2 weeks starting the 12th (thursday).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alrighty. Gonna be leaving for two weeks here. Heading up north (4 hours north that is.) Up at Boyne Highlands, Michigan where I will be with a group known as the Young Americans. This group is a singing/dancing/overall talent group that goes around supporting these talents throughout schools around the world.
Well, I wont go into too much detail about this, unless you care you could pm me about it, also check out their website if you would like to know a bit more about it.
ANYWAYS!
I'm going to go up for two weeks to learn how to do the soundboard/tech stuff for them. They will teach me all I need to know in those two weeks. (Which scares me a little) Making me prepared so I can go onto tour in the future.
I am not 100% sure but...by sounds of the directors and everyone else...it sounds like I'm in.
SO, what that means is I would learn sound. Most likely move to California, which is where there "HQ" is located. And go on from there...possibly doing tours in the U.S. Or all over the whole world...
How did I get this oppurtunity? Well my brother is in it as a performer, who has really just shocked me in the last year as his performance has increased dramatically. (Better stage presence, sings with more power etc...) This is his 3rd year....or was it the 4th. T_T /isbadbrother...
But I showed him all my tech/music gear and made a song up for him when he was home for a few days visiting.
He then decided that being the sound guy for the YA would be great...he asked me if I was interested. Of course I said yes...Then he went up to Boyne, talked to the director and said I can come up for a couple weeks to learn.
I was pumped by the news and am really excited/nervous about this whole thing.
Anyways...sorta rambled on there...tried to keep it as short as possible. I will most likely not be on at all these two weeks. I will try...but their days are -very- long and busy. Though I will be able to hop on the forums and chat with anyone. or on MSN.
I'm excited for this new lifestyle and if things go smoothly...I will most likely have to leave CoTH in the somewhat near future...but that time is not now! I'll still keep in touch with those who wish of it and what not.
You guys are like my second family and I hope to stay in touch with you!
