Adel managed to rack up an impressive 15 entirely based on things that have happened to her.
Laughing as I kept recalling extra events and ticking down a range of boxes.
If the test was a bit more specialist and covered all the possible bases, she'd have probably hit 20+.
All my other characters, disappointingly, scored well under 10.
I take it I'm not looking at this test quite the right way.

No, you are most certainly not.
Though, I suppose having a Mary Sue could be considered a... guilty pleasure? Or something?
Is Adel your guilty pleasure?

Absolutely.

Draknir scored a -1.
Mokaku scored a 12, but most of them only came up because he's a Gladiator.
Tzekel got a 7. Same as above.
Rogrenn got 2.
Rorbin got 3.

Only my Draenei scored a 7, only because I used my IRL name for her >_>
The rest was 3 - -2 ish..

Ibby got a 3. Makes me happy.

I did pretty good, Arn got a 7.
But I gotta say... this little survey doesn't prove a damn thing…
You could make a Demon hunt who is the last surviving member of his family as an OVERPOWERED NON-PLAYABLE RACE (score of 9)!!! And it would still score less than an average citizen named Joe (score of 10)!!!
Also is there honestly anything wrong with using a occasional cliché? I don't play RP to be a completely normal person. Why? BECAUSE THAT'S BOREING!!! If I want to get on as a death knight in a resistance group, I don't need a dumb survey to tell me I'm doing something wrong. I'll let other RPer's judge, not a cruddy checklist!

Well there's a difference between making an interesting character and making an interesting character loaded with cliches.
Cliches are fun once in a while. I admit. But one generally avoids outright going for a lot of them.

Sylvandre - 2 (Despite being a Warden. I was shocked and appalled. Normal people FTW!)
Arlyn - 3
Elil - 3.
I think it adds a point for being an elf. I'm not sure, tho'. Regardless, going through the test was fun, and oddly rewarding.

Yeah, I know that. But if you think about it, most ideas have been done before. It's just that after looking at what each question cost, things seemed a little off. For example: If you name your character after your name that cost 10 points. I can understand on how that's lazy, but a OOC name shouldn't effect the score of how your character is ICly.
/shrug I don't know. Perhaps I'm just not good at surveys. Krel scored a 15 while Arn scored a 7, and Krel is a much less Mary Sue Character then Arn.

Everyone seems to take these tests as "OMG ALWAYS RIGHT"
These are called litmus tests to generally gauge something.
Just because you got a high score doesn't mean squat.
It's about how you play it and why you play it.
Having a negative score doesn't mean your character cannot be a mary sue.Lrn2Anti-Sue, people.
Nor does having a high score completely make your character one.
Also, learn your types of Sues and how they go.

Plus, you have to remember, at some point you're doing something that someone has already done. Originality doesn't mean that you have to be completely bat-crazy off the wall with your entire history, or, in the reverse side, so sickeningly bland that you've never done anything, ever, nor have a want to do anything ever.
Basically, don't be Illidian's cousin, but don't be Sally the plain milk-maid either.

Kael'themar got -5, even though I put his voice is attractive and his hair is really nice!
