Alright last night a gm held an event in Grom'gol base camp, after taking part I didn't have time to make this post but Im going to do so now before I head to work. I would like to give that gm major kudo's for how he carried the event out. For as long as I have played on coth, NEVER have I taken part in a event where it felt like I was allowed to think about the situation and change it as this gm allowed the few of us to do in this event. For me thats a huge deal. Its what rp is all about and sometimes it's just not there.
To give an example, in the event an alliance tank rolled into the camp. I know alot of gm's who would not have allowed a character to break down a hatch on it, and run around the inside of the tank breaking stuff. Instead everyone would have had to stand on the outside of it and try to beat on a tank with the equivalent of sharpened sticks. Allowing a player to imagine the situation, spot a weakness, and exploit it in that kind of event encourages far superior rp. It allows players the chance to stop being 3rd orc solider to the right and display what they are good at. Continuing to allow that in events could potentially increase the quality of rp on the server as a whole. So to who ever you were gm, Kudos. It was alot of fun. I got to use my head, and carry my weight in the event as more than just another orc with an axe. Thank you.
