I actually know how to de-patch and all that, but, when i search in my wow/data folder all i find is: art.mpq,expansion1.mpq,expansion2.mpq,oldworld.mpq,sound.mpq and world.mpq.

No signs of patch.mpq, patch2.mpq,etc.

I searched further, went for enUS file and anything that couldve housed it, but n o t h i n g.

So well, i began deleting what i knew was cata files (as they were to be removed anyways) and i tried picking some core files in enUS then running repair.exe(the new cata one is different from before*sigh* it wont allow reset it just runs a repair and checks missing important files) to resume, whatever I try returns to nothing, no de-patch happens, repair.exe only fixes the holes i do and that's it.

Before you ask, yes i made a copy of the WoW file i use for retail and both are alike, no patch.mpq only the listed files above (plus cata files in retail one)

I'd really appreciate some help fixing this puzzle.

I will try finding a previous version of the repair.exe and run it..
*EDIT* I found old repair.exe(for version 3.0.0) tried running it and all that return is: cannot connect to server to download files(not quoted exactly but it meant that)
Yup. You can't degrade anymore. You have to reinstall. Sorry.
i think i will wait for coth to patch to 4.0.1 instead, as I am not playing WoW much these days. Very big thanks for fast response :D
That's going to take a while.
