And, what I meant, is more towards my recent behaviour. I've been very down the gutter, so to speak, in recent weeks and months. I suppose there were several outside factors to blame for that, which made me very gullible to influence by others' opinions and what they told me (and even more so when I was exposed to their supporting material). This is something I mentioned in c0rzilla's thread, as well. So, in short, I've felt like I've been very spiteful and overly cynical (and perfectly happy about being such, in the meantime).

... that's something I'm trying to erase now that I'm feeling better. But, that aside...

I do remember the sessions between Liyerkis and your Death Knight, though I can't remember her name off the top of my head. All I remember is that she was very colourful. Pink/purple, however we define the colour. Can't say I remember Luelin too clearly, though.

Life has its ups and downs, Lox. Don't let either of them keep you from remembering that it, like a roller-coaster, is just a ride meant to be enjoyed. It's hard to tell someone to enjoy the bad bits of life as much as the good ones, but if they manage to do so, they'll end up some of the happiest people alive.

Either way, I am confident that you will prevail over what troubles you, and persevere in the face of adversity. Don't let things like that drag you down and you'll always come up on top. /nodnod.

So, in lieu of me rediscovering the joys of events'n random RP with people over the past months, Bee-You-Emm-Pee, tell me what you think of me! Mostly Anaedith, Celinia, Yulia, Lyssera, Lari and the like that've decided to bump into world events.

Welp, let's see! (Also, don't tell me I'm the only one who tries to sound out "Bee-You-Emm-Pee" to try to figure out what it actually means. I always feel so stupid. :P)


I can't for the life of me remember who Krian role played with... Kaliel? Kelial? K something(Clearly needs more sparring to refresh my memory). She was a pretty cool gal, dealing with Krian and his noob stuff as he tried to figure out what a Runemaster really was. Plus he did need to lighten up! The spar was fun too, your role-play tends to make combat exciting and flavored differently. Krian totally needs to enlist her as a drill master when he's training newbies to the BK order.


Lari is also pretty fun, considering I laughed when someone mentioned that the fire gauntlet was goblin tech. Like a semi-sane scientist, she enjoys frying trolls and passing out her inventions, though I haven't seen her do much else. I think I've read some IC posts of her working in the labs, but it's been sooo long. Krian still needs to order his own gauntlet too.


Yulia, on the other hand, creeps me out. Another runemaster, though this one is happily burning rioters alive. Literally fighting fire with fire during the Stormwind riot, she was up there in scariness with the one guy who was eating people and throwing his allies at the enemy. She also made Baidin surrender too, after seeing the guy he tried to save melt in his armor. Gurl needs a therapist for pyromania, she must be like the Pyro from TF2.

As people tend to agree, your characters all amazingly follow lore while putting forth some creative ideas.

The only issue that comes to mind right now is that the characters I have RPed with all seem perfect. They never seem to back down or question their beliefs. They readily support any who might agree with them without pause. Their beliefs are perfect, and so are they. Perhaps I missed private RP where they did break down. I only speak from brief encounters and and a few lengthy discussions with you.

This might sound like the hallmark of a greatly written character, but unfortunately--it isn't. Not to me, anyway. You tend to have this issue with ideal perfection, a result of your preference for noblebright settings. I like my sparkles too, but sometimes they can get in the eye and render our vision a tad skewed.

I'm sure you'll recall our debate over "evil" kal'dorei recently. You were staunch in your beliefs that a kal'dorei with even a spark of evil would be swiftly brought to justice. No ifs, ands, or buts. You'll also recall how I disagreed, firm in my own belief that the kal'dorei are not perfect creatures. They're the ones that split the continents way back when. They have Tyrande for a leader, for heaven's sake! Joking aside, while noblebright can be fun and uplifting, its sweetness can rot the teeth of RP when it's too much. Nobody, no race, on Azeroth is perfect and it is our calling as RPers to explore what happens when races do screw up. I do not believe that tarnishes WoW's noblebright setting. In fact, I think it enhances what's bright about it to contrast.

A related issue, from my view, is your characters tend to have these very mystical themes or undertones. Very cosmic, for lack of a better word. I get the hint this comes from your own metaphysical beliefs. They might be very interesting to explore, but I am wary to say it's always good when your characters match your world view.

So, tl;dr? Imperfection isn't scary, and can enhance noblebright sparkles. Have your characters more readily question their methods or views, have them trip and fall. Have them start at the lowest possible rung of the mystical ladder, in the mud, and climb up. Have them utterly, utterly fail. I think you'll appreciate it more when they get back up.

Done that, actually. Especially with the happiest of them. I love me some trials and tribulations, but they're not often shown. Lately, we've only interacted in events'n such. There's not really big potential to expose what a character's gist is in the midst of combat. With admittedly few exceptions(The tormented Sylvandre, bearer of fireflies, comes to mind).

While physical flaws're hard to give in a world where healing and resurrection run rampant, I tend to lapse into moral ones. Zealotry(Such as Arlyn being a fratricide), and Wrath(For instance, Yulia's disproportional retribution) are lovely, as they can make for extremely bad decisions on the characters' part and Heroic BSOD.

I like characters having breakdowns. In fact, terrible, torturous situations are needed, in my opinion, to be equal to the happy moments. Otherwise, there's nothing to differentiate a happy existence from a sad one. Adventures and trials must be equal in measure to downtime/lounging around in a tavern/spending happy moments with one's loved ones. Otherwise, I grow bored or tired.

And, I never said Night Elves couldn't be evil and escape justice. I merely said that murder wasn't something to easily get away with in Kaldorei society, because only two people that we know of have gotten away with it - Maiev and Tyrande.

I dislike perfect characters. Wholeheartedly. There must always be flaws, otherwise they aren't really relateable 'n human(Not counting Humanity itself).

I haven't had the chance to RP with you, really. I hear only good things and reading your profiles genuinely inspires me. I'd like to RP some more.

And yeah... I figure that since people can't honestly be objective(Because, let's face it, all of us're biased. We're human and therefore have likes and dislikes), a personal PoV is the least I could give. When I really enjoy reading something someone wrote, I like telling them that. /shrug.
