HAY! HAY GAIZ
IT'S... still *bleeped* to *bleep* with a side helping of aggrivating *bleep*. Bleeps are open to interpretation.
So, here's the deal. Computer, is of course, as dead as a doornail. It's hard to believe it's been a full month. And to be quite honest? I have NO idea when I'm truly coming back. We're either buying the vista disk or trying to get a recovery disk. I honestly don't know. I'm not trusted to do my own thing with it, so thusly my dad needs to do it, and he's busy with other things.
As you might be able to tell, I'm damned pretty pissed off. Every attempt to get this hunk of junk working has been fruitless and an attempt to get my dad's PC to patch up to 3.2.2 has been nothing less of an impossible task. The whole thing is just vexing, and it's hard to believe how much bad luck one can get. I also have college related issue adding to the rage.
So back to the main point... I do not know when I'll be coming back. It may even be another month at the rate of bad luck I'm getting. If I had enough money, I'd buy my own damn computer and just smash the other to smithereens.
I miss you guys, and I hope I can get back soon.
Oh! And as a sidenote, I'll be gone from the 4th to the 7th of February on a trip to Hadrian's Wall.
Here's to hopin'!
EDIT: I uh... edited slightly. Something's turned BLOO

I'm sorry! XD I couldn't keep up the charade any longer. Everyone knows I don't cry.
I might cry for you, though, if you don't come back soon. *sniffle*
Anyways, beat that computer and show it who's the boss! D<

Well. Uh... huh.
It appears I've just come across the most bizarre technological event in my life. Lemme tell y'all a story... Comedy intended. More for my own benefit.
So. I find a website and decide to download a vista reboot disk... after about an hour or two, the thing has finally finished downloading! Huzzah! I inserted the CD... "so far so good", I thought to myself... Soon after, nothing happened. Zilch. Angry that my last strand of hope was blown up and strewn about my hallway, I punch my keyboard! I thought to myself: "To hell with this. Where's that hammer.."
BUT!
It LIVED! Strange and colourful writing flooded my screen, and hope was rekindled within my soul! Literally bouncing in my seat, the excitement was hard to contain. But then... something TERRIBLE happened.
The device had finished loading... it was complete. But... I now have Knoppix... when I downloaded a VISTA recovery disk... anything else seem wrong here? I mean the minimum I expected from this disk was to give me vista, and I SOMEHOW ended up with Knoppix. Trust me to get ripped off. Did I mention this was payed for?
You don't know what Knoppix is? Neither did I! Until today that is. It's another operating system... don't ask how this happened, because I'm still confused beyond all reason. I'm speechless.
Long story short: Computer was fixed using a VISTA recovery disk, but I somehow ended up with an operating system I had never heard of until today.

No idea. But we're sure as hell not keeping the thing.
I've managed to redefine fail. Only -I- could accomplish something this ridiculous.

The knoppix distro of linux is unable to run world of warcraft. And just because it said it was Vista, you have know way of telling if it was or not until you put the disk in your machine.

I have Wikied Knoppix and this is what I found. . . We have a Penguin Davinchi on our hands here.

So it's a Linux operating system. A friend of mine had this a while ago, but I could never figure out how to work it myself. Strange that you got it off a Vista disk.
Off-topic: I'm still using that friend's mouse pad with the Penguin Computing company's logo (this) on it.

To try and lift everyone's spirits. I'll say/quote something that might not be funny at all, and thus fail hard.

Update!
We've just ordered a setup disk from amazon. Albeit at £164... I'm praying this thing works. I'll also have to buy WotLK. Estimated time is 2 weeks or something.
